Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 15) — A joint congressional panel will be looking into the glitches encountered during the midterm elections.

The Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on the Automated Election System will probe the conduct of the recently concluded polls on June 4, its chair, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III said.

Among the issues expected to be tackled by the joint House and Senate panel are the malfunctioning vote-counting machines and SD cards, and various glitches in the transmission of votes to the transparency server.

The Commission on Elections is now looking into what happened during the polls and is training its sights on the suppliers of SD cards, which officials said are of low quality.
