Meanwhile, in a statement Monday, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said government offices in the National Capital Region, Central Luzon (Region III), and Calabarzon will resume on Tuesday.

However, suspension of government work and classes in Batangas shall remain in effect Tuesday "until further advice of the LGUs (local government units) concerned."

"This suspension shall not apply to frontline response agencies involved in disaster response, delivery of basic and health service, and/or other vital services," said Medialdea.
