Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 1) — Close to 4,000 traditional jeepneys will be able to ply more routes starting Nov. 2, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said on Sunday.

The LTFRB said the following routes would be open beginning Monday:

T269 Cubao - Bagumbayan via Libis

T270 Cubao - Libis Via Murphy

A total of 3,936 additional PUJs would be added to the 29,227 that already resumed operations in the National Capital Region.

The transport regulatory body reminded the jeep operators to observe safety protocols including wearing of face masks and face shields, and disinfecting the units, as well as enforcing the "one-seat apart" rule.

It added the operators also cannot impose a fare hike. At present, the minimum fare is P9.
