Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, April 8) - Three more Filipinos with COVID-19 abroad have died, as the total number of our countrymen overseas with the viral disease rises to 594.

The number of fatalities, however, is lower compared to Tuesday’s 10 recorded deaths.

The Department of Foreign Affairs said a total of 362 Filipinos abroad are undergoing treatment, while six more have gotten well from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 164.

The infected Filipinos are located in 37 countries, with 225 cases in the Asia-Pacific region.

Europe has 199 infected Filipinos, while the Americas has 108, and 62 in the Middle East and Africa.

According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, the global tally of infected individuals now stand at 1.4 million.

Deaths worldwide are at 82,220, with 301,768 recoveries.
