Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 13) - The country’s anti-graft court closed its office today after two employees tested positive for COVID-19.

In a memorandum signed by Presiding Justice Amparo Cabotaje –Tang, the Sandiganbayan En Banc held an emergency meeting on July 12 and decided to close the court for the meantime.

“This step is necessary to enable the Sandiganbayan to conduct an immediate and thorough disinfection of its entire building and to conduct contact tracing/monitoring of the health of the Court’s employees,” read the memorandum.

However, all Justices, officials, and employees will continue their duties under alternative work arrangements. The public may still contact Sandiganbayan through its hotline or email address.
