Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 3) — Two to four tropical cyclones may enter PAGASA’s monitoring area this month but they are not expected to affect weather conditions in the country, a forecaster said Friday.

“When we say two to four cyclones may enter Philippine area of responsibility or PAR, we do not expect these to affect any part of the country,” PAGASA weather forecaster Raymond Ordinario told CNN Philippines’ New Day, adding that no cyclone is seen to develop in the next three to five days.

PAR is the country’s sphere of monitoring tropical cyclones.

Meanwhile, in the next 24 hours, cloudy skies, rains and thunderstorms will be experienced over Mindanao and Central Visayas and Western Visayas and Mimaropa due to the intertropical convergence zone, the specialist said.

The rest of the Philippines will have generally fair weather with isolated rains, he added.
