Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 11) — Two men are now facing a criminal complaint after one of them went down onto the railway tracks of the Metro Rail Transit’s Quezon Avenue station on Sunday evening, while the other took a photo.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, the MRT Line 3 management said it has filed an alarm and scandal complaint against the two individuals, ages 22 and 28, who were brought to the Kamuning police station.

Under the Revised Penal Code, penalty for an alarm and scandal offense could be arresto menor, or imprisonment for 1 to 30 days, or a fine not exceeding ₱200.

Unauthorized persons are strictly prohibited from going down the MRT train tracks, as this can result in serious or even fatal injury. The management said they hope the incident would serve as a warning to other passengers not to take safety rules lightly.
