Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, March 27) - A town in Pangasinan confirmed its first case of coronavirus disease as the patient failed to disclose that he/she is under investigation.

Bugallon Mayor Priscilla Espino said in statement on Friday that its first case, identified as Patient No. 1. is a resident of Barangay Salomague Sur.

Espino said that the patient and five others arrived from Manila on Thursday noon.

The mayor said that the local government is already conducting contact tracing as the companions of the patients are also residing in the same barangay.

With this development, Espino ordered a lockdown on the barangay.

Aside from this case, the Pangasinan Provincial Health Office confirmed today six other cases from other towns.
