Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 28) — As Cebu City residents start to receive newly issued quarantine passes from the local government, netizens can't help but notice how large they are compared to the original ones.

The new passes, which are set to be distributed to 178,000 households, turned out to be multiple times larger than the ones previously issued in March as they are as big as standard A4 size paper.

The change in the size of the quarantine pass definitely caught the attention of netizens, leading to the creation of some memes on the matter.

One netizen even posted a video pretending he was graduating, with the quarantine pass as his diploma. The clip now has 82,000 views on Facebook.

Meanwhile, some came up with t-shirts with mock copies of the quarantine pass as full frontal design.

Under new quarantine guidelines, each household can only have one pass, which can then be used by a designated member when going out for essential errands like purchasing food or medicine.

The said pass shall contain the assigned household member's name and address along with a QR code which will "prevent unscrupulous use," said the city's public information office.

"People with QR code passes that end in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will be allowed to go out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while those ending in even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) will be allowed to go out on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays," said the Cebu City PIO.

Furthermore, no one can step outside their homes on a Sunday except for authorized persons outside residence (APOR), who need not secure quarantine passes.
