Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, December 11) — Despite the persistence and the deafening home crowd cheers, the Filipino spikers were not able to recover from Indonesia’s show of dominance and excellent defense on the floor, as the latter clinched the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games men’s volleyball crown Tuesday.

Indonesia swept the hometown squad 25-21, 27-25, 25-17.

Despite the loss, the national team still bagged the silver -- a feat since the last medal of the country in men’s volleyball, a bronze in 1991.
