(CNN Philippines, December 2) — Edmar Tacuel captured the first pencak silat gold medal for the Philippines in the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.

Tacuel ruled the Men's Seni Tunggal Singles event Monday at the Subic Bay Exhibition and Convention Center. He tallied a total score of 470 points.

Singapore’s Rahman Abdul settled for silver with 461 points, while Indonesia’s Dino Sulistianto finished bronze with 460 points.
