SEA Games: Filipino jins pick up three golds in taekwondo

(CNN Philippines, December 8) — The Philippine taekwondo team won seven medals today in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.

Dave Cea was the first Filipino jin to bag the gold after ruling the men’s 74 kg. category Sunday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila City.

Meanwhile, Pauline Lopez reclaimed the gold medal in the women’s -57 kg. category. She last won it in the 2015 SEA Games.

Samuel Morrison nabbed his third SEA Games gold medal after reigning supreme in in the men’s 80 kg. category. He previously won in the 74 kg. and 68 kg. divisions.

Four other Filipino jins won silver medals each — Kristopher Uy (over-78 kg.), Kirstie Alora (73 kg.), Laila Delo (-74 kg.), and Arven Alcantara (-68 kg.).
