Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 29) — Filipino Olympian and former La Salle athlete Ian Lariba is in need of blood donors.

According to DLSU Sports' Twitter post Sunday, those who are willing to donate can go to St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City.

Lariba needs a blood Type O.

No reasons were given for the request.

Members of the Lasallian community have joined the call to help Lariba out on their social media accounts.

The 22-year-old Lariba had a stellar University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) career - she was unbeaten during her five year stint with La Salle.

Lariba was also the lone table tennis bet of the Philippines in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
