Gymnast Carlos Yulo is headed to the Olympics.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, October 8) – Gymnast Carlos Yulo is headed to the Olympics.

He is the second Filipino to qualify for the Summer Games after placing 18th overall in the 49th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Stuggart, Germany.

POC President Steve Hontiveros confirmed the news to CNN Philippines.

Yulo had a total score of 82.164 points. His best output came from the floor exercise, where he earned 14.633 points.

Pole vaulter EJ Obiena became the first Filipino to book a spot for next year's Olympics after eclipsing his personal record in a tournament in Italy last month.
