Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 17) — Despite nursing a left ankle sprain, Eya Laure will suit up for the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Golden Tigresses in the winner-take-all Game 3 of the UAAP Season 81 women's volleyball finals.

This was confirmed by her father Eddie to CNN Philippines in a phone interview Friday.

"For sure, she'll play tomorrow, even if she's feeling some pain in her foot," he said.

The reigning Rookie of the Year sustained the injury after landing awkwardly at the early part of the third set in Game 2 last Wednesday.

The Golden Tigresses and the Ateneo Lady Eagles will clash one last time to determine who deserves to claim the much coveted crown.

UST is aiming to end a nine-year title drought, while the Lady Eagles are gunning for their third championship.

Game 3 is slated on May 18 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
