Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, June 14) — After falling in their first two games, the San Miguel Beermen flipped the switch in their match versus the Blackwater Elite.

The Beermen pummeled the Elite, 127-106, in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup Friday at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Import Charles Rhodes and sharpshooter Marcio Lassiter showed the way for San Miguel with 32 points and 29 points, respectively.

The Beermen started to pull away in the second quarter after unleashing a 33-point outburst.

The Elite played without their reinforcement Alex Stephenson who was reportedly down with food poisoning.

Blackwater tried to climb back in the final quarter, but Lassiter sank four three-point shots in the last two minutes of the contest to seal the victory.

San Miguel improved its win-loss record to 1-2, while the Elite suffered their second loss in the tournament.

Rookie Bobby Ray Parks Jr. dropped 23 points and 13 rebounds for Blackwater.
