Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 18) — The Alaska Aces and Meralco Bolts square off on Friday for the last playoff berth in the 2019 PBA Commissioner's Cup.

The Aces are coming off a loss to the Blackwater Elite, while the Bolts hope to ride on the momentum after taking down the San Miguel Beermen.

In their elimination round match, Alaska edged out Meralco with a four-point win at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

The knockout match will be a little different compared to their previous meeting as both squads are playing with new imports. The Aces were reinforced by Chis Daniels, while the Bolts had Gani Lawal then. Now, Diamon Simpson and Delroy James are leading the charge for Alaska and Meralco, respectively.

Game time is set at 7pm at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

The winner will face top seed TNT KaTropa with a twice-to-beat disadvantage.
