(CNN Philippines, September 10) — Spain took care of business against Poland, hammering out a 90-78 quarterfinals win Tuesday at the Shanghai Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.

Ricky Rubio led the way for Spain with 19 points, nine assists, and five rebounds.

Poland held its ground and made it a close affair in the first half, trailing only by five points.

It was Spain's experience in the deeper part of the tournament, though, that pushed the European powerhouse to the victory.

Willy Hernangomez contributed 18 points, while Rudy Fernandez added 16 points for Spain.

A.J. Slaughter finished with 19 markers and six dimes for Poland in a losing effort.

Spain will face the winner of the quarterfinals match between Australia and Czech Republic.
