(CNN Philippines, September 11) — Australia booked the last ticket to the 2019 FIBA World Cup semifinals.

Australia defeated Czech Republic, 82-70, in their quarterfinals match Wednesday at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center in China.

Patty Mills showed the way for Australia with 24 points, six assists, and four rebounds.

It was a tight battle early in the contest as both squads figured in a tie at the end of the first quarter.

Australia then stepped on the gas to pull away in the latter part of the contest.

Chris Goulding added 14 points for Australia, while Andrew Bogut contributed 10 points.

Patrick Auda finished with 21 markers and three boards for Czech Republic.

Australians will battle Spain in a knockout semifinals game on September 13.
