Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 6) - National team player and multi-awarded libero Kath Arado is now part of the Petro Gazz Angels in the Premier Volleyball League.

This will be Arado’s second team after playing with the Generika Ayala Lifesavers in the Philippine Super Liga, which is another volleyball league.

Aside from Arado, other new recruits of Petro Gazz were her former teammates in Generika Ayala, Mean Mendrez and Ria Meneses.

The PVL was formalized last November as a professional volleyball tournament. It has currently nine teams and is expected to open a new season on April.

Arado, a former University of the East standout, has bagged several awards during her stint at the University Athletics Association of the Philippines. She was awarded Rookie of the Year in Season 77, Best Digger in Seasons 79 and 80, Best Receiver in Season 80, and Best Libero in Season 81.

The Petro Gazz Angels is looking forward to sustain its finals appearance with its new recruits. The team won the Reinforced Conference in 2019 and was runner-up in the Open Conference that same year.
