The San Miguel Beermen take Game 2 of best-of-seven series against TNT KaTropa.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 7) — The San Miguel Beermen survived a gutsy stand from the TNT KaTropa to even their finals series.

San Miguel needed two overtime periods to beat TNT, 127-125, and take Game 2 of the best-of-seven affair on Wednesday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Chris McCullough led all scorers with a game-high 34 points, with 22 rebounds and seven assists for the Beermen. Terrence Romeo, meanwhile, torched his former team with a conference-high 29 points, highlighted by six three-pointers.

San Miguel recovered from their bad shooting in Game 1 as they converted on 18 of their 32 attempts from downtown.

Troy Rosario scored a career-high 34 points for TNT, anchored on eight coversions from beyond the arc.

Terrence Jones contributed 28 markers but was held scoreless in the fourth quarter and in the first overtime period. The KaTropa import was ejected from the game after getting his second technical foul late in the first extra period.

Game 3 of the finals will be played on Friday also at the Big Dome.
